Ben’s look was stunning, but the most memorable moment, for me, was Carson telling Trixie that he needed a Claritin just looking at her. We don’t have any true fashion queens in the vein of Raja, Naomi Smalls or Violet Chachki in this group. Patrick: I guess? Again, I was underwhelmed. This is the last Season 3 episode featuring star catching. The old tale of King Midas and his lust and love for gold. Right? Unrelated, I hate when they rush the runway! You barely got time to get deflowered. One day in Boots Room (Tree House), Boots is showing Dora all his trucks (10 Wheeler, Giant Crane, Bulldozer, Rojo (Fire Truck), Tow Truck and Ice Cream Truck). Joe: Yeah so there’s no way that wasn’t planned - I bet the producers saw they both picked Chi Chi, told Ru and they saw an opportunity for some high tension. That lip sync didn’t feel worthy of a double-win. I do wish that Ben and Shangela had a t.A.T.u.-style makeout sesh during “I Kissed A Girl” though. Joe: Oh yeah, the bar I was at in Brooklyn was screaming for like 2 minutes, that was super tense and when Shangie cut Chi Chi and not Trixie, people literally stood up and clapped. Also, and I get that what Thorgy wrote was rude and if I were Trixie, I would have ripped that part off, but not sure that was worth as much drama as they were giving it. Joe: Right? Her ghost is haunting these bitches. She wasn’t lying when she said she’d make good TV! What’s Kennedy’s excuse? But let’s focus on the positives: Thorgy’s been gone for a few episodes and she’s still creating drama. To be fair, this was her first Snatch Game.
I hear you on exposing underappreciated icons, but this felt like a game of Guess Who? I’m very disappointed in Trixie - but at least she knew it was rough. These performances were wildly underwhelming, which is a real disappointment. Patrick: I’m Roxxxy Andrews and I’m here to make it clear: Shangela won by default. The “Mya” Angelou was absolutely nothing, Kennedy had a good start but flat-lined, Trixie was on another planet with no regard for her audience, and I wasn’t super into Shangela’s performance honestly. That being said, the lion’s share of those Snatch Game performances were dead on arrival. I love Paul Lynde, he’s an underappreciated icon, and I love that the Snatch Game is exposing people to lesser-known queer personalities like Lynde and Crystal LaBeija. Joe: Okay, I hear that, and both of those sound enticing, but I will say that I was ecstatic when Ben said he was doing Paul Lynde, and I was eating up every moment of that.
